…but hopefully not for good. I noticed that for four consecutive days in the past week, my weight had been static at 130 lbs. That was even if I was eating a lot. Yes, I was not dieting and instead, eating all kinds of food! If my metabolism remains that fast until my wedding in March, then I could definitely afford to lose some pounds to fit in my wedding gown. Yay!
Losing weight has been quite hard for me last year. My dream weight last year was 115 lbs. and the nearest I had been was 122. Good job but deep in my heart I know I could have done better. My love for eating is really my number one sin. Or is it? I cannot fully blame myself because eating is one of the most pleasurable things to do in life. Haha.

I’m not one to brag about things at the slightest opportunity but, today is an exception. I was just gifted with a dozen hotel GC’s and I can’t wait to use and share them with my family and loved ones! The best thing about this is that the hotel is quite near to my place and it’s no less than a five-star. Sorry, but I’m just feeling excited and giddy right now.
Thank you to my Santa. Our Santa, actually, because I’m just one of the people who have been blessed to receive GC’s as belated Christmas gift. If you were my friend, you must’ve been aware of the fact that I love receiving GC’s. For me, GC’s are love! They’re very convenient, comes in many forms and they last long enough for me to use them at the most perfect time.

I’ve always been fond of interior design. But my fondness for interior design isn’t so serious to the point that I’d study and get a degree to satisfy myself. I just love moving things at home to come up with a better look. Period.
When I bought our humble home in Cavite, I had a thousand and one interior design ideas in mind. Most of them were borne out of various inspirations from nice houses I happened to see online and in real life. It was also then that I realized that interior design can be really costly, what with the things you need to produce which are mostly composed of expensive items.
I’m just glad that with our house, even if I work on a limited budget, I always manage to come up with my desired look. I just use lots of imagination and creativity. There’s still a lot of things that need to be done in our house, though. Hopefully, the coming year will be a good time to accomplish some, if not all, of them.

You know what I love most about Christmas aside from the gifts and all the lovin’? It’s the food and how I’m allowed to eat to my heart’s content! Haha. Seriously, I love eating during Christmas. I think the festive atmosphere and the chilly weather have a lot to do with it. Eating during the Christmas season is really something I look forward to each year.
Last Christmas (which was just yesterday!), I made sure I was the one working in the kitchen so that I could do my body a favor by burning some calories in exchange for the calories I would be taking in later. I hope you get the idea. I just wanted to burn calories in advance so I wouldn’t be super guilty when I feasted during Noche Buena.

I can only think of three places to shop at during the Christmas season: Baclaran, Divisoria and Landmark Makati. I dunno with you but these three shopping centers never fail to give me more choices and more value for my money. The affordability of their goods are the lowest I’ve seen. The quality of their merchandise cannot be questioned, too. That’s why when in comes to bulk shopping (a.k.a Christmas shopping), I only go to these places.
I seldom shop at Baclaran these days, though. Divisoria and Landmark Makati are the more practical choices for me due to their proximity to where I live. Errrr, Landmark Makati is now my top choice, actually. That’s because at Landmark, everything I need is in one place. The store is very spacious and air-conditioned, too, and the sales persons are really attentive and friendly. Plus, they have cheap but stylish accessories there that I’m addicted to!

Have you received your Christmas bonus? I have. The amount isn’t big (I’m just a government employee, you know), but it’s enough to cover our needs and some luxuries this holiday season. Don’t you just love receiving Christmas bonuses? It definitely adds color to our celebration of the birth of Christ.
I have a hundred and one reasons to be I’m thankful this Christmas season because God continue to shower me and my family with financial blessings this year. I have received my Christmas bonus from my day job and am still waiting for one more from my part-time work. The Christmas presents that I continue to receive from family and friends are already icings on the cake. I’m so happy!

I can count with my two hands the number of times I’ve won in raffle draws. I’m not so lucky when it comes to them. Raffle draws have always been one of the highlights of parties. People love winning raffle prizes especially when they get as luxurious as an entertainment showcase or an all-expense paid trip to some exotic island.
Over the years, I have learned to lower my expectations on raffle draws particularly during Christmas parties. I have also learned not to get too hopeful to win so as not to hurt my feelings when I leave the party empty-handed. It takes me so much humility and grace to do that, you know. I’m still human, after all, and I can be highly ambitious and greedy when it comes to raffle prizes. Haha.

I’ve always enjoyed cooking. I cook depending on my mood. I cook depending on what’s inside the refrigerator. I normally make do with as little ingredients as I have at home. Sometimes, I splurge with ingredients to come up with a fab dish that I can be proud of.
These days, I’ve been enjoying cooking homemade spaghetti. I am biased about Clara Ole spaghetti sauces because they have this doy pack pouch of spaghetti sauce that’s good for one small batch of spaghetti (good for two to three people). It’s very economical at less than P30 per pack. There are times when I’d use fresh tomato sauce and there are a few occasions when I’d try to make tomato sauce from scratch. For the pasta noodles, I usually get the Fiesta brand because it’s easy to prepare and very affordable.

Oh how time flies! Before I knew it, December has arrived already. We’re now even on the second week of it. Soon it’ll be Christmas once again and then, New Year! Wow, what a year 2011 has been and it’s ending soon faster than I expected.
One of the highlights of 2011 for me is my first out-of-country trip with the fiancee, Superfriend Nice and her boyfriend Y. We toured Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and enjoyed every minute of our short vacation. It’s one delicious experience that’s bound to stick in my head for years and years to come. After all, it’s one of my “firsts.” Haha.

Well, it’s actually an e-book which I downloaded online for free. The title is Awaken, a fantasy series by Rachel Humphrey-D’aigle. It’s the first in the series and I wonder if I could still get my hands on the other installments. I’m not worrying about that just yet, though. I have to finish this book first.

Awaken tells about the life of twin siblings Colin and Meghan as they learn about their true identities. I don’t know much about the book as I’m only at page 97 of the 259-page story. But I can already say it’s a compelling read. I love magic and fantasy. I am easily awed by bigger-than-life characters which is why I enjoy reading fiction books than non-fiction ones most of the time. I hope to finish this book soon!
